In operation for more than 50 years, Retina Associates serves a diverse patient base from its offices in Tucson, Arizona. It serves local area patients and welcomes patients from around the world. Retina Associates specializes in diagnosing and treating eye diseases affecting the retina, macula, and vitreous.
Although they boast a range of medical specialties, all physicians at Retina Associates hold board certification through the American Board of Ophthalmology. The practice operates under the leadership of its chief physician, Cameron Javid, MD, who completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University Medical Center and his retina fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cameron Javid also serves as a clinical associate professor of ophthalmology at Tucson’s University of Arizona College of Medicine.
Retina Associates has participated in numerous national clinical research trials investigating conditions such as macular degeneration and other serious eye conditions. Past clinical trials include gene therapy for retinal conditions and late-stage dry AMD.
